The Tractor and the Ferrari

This was easy work for Fred.  He never
spoke to anyone again.  He just did his work,
happy that he could do something well.  He
realized now that he missed the really fresh
air of the farm.  He missed the golden
harvests, the dark brown ground that he
would rip half a metre deep.  That took real
power.

On the farm, Farmer Brown had gone back
to using his oxen.  His harvest was back
down to what it used to be, because he
could only plough and plant so much with his
oxen.

The custom wagon was parked in the shed.
After the third rear axle replacement he gave
up on trying to use it for any decent work.
Now he just occasionally drove to town with it
on some errands.
