Why Organisation Development
Why is Organisation Development Important

When we compare successful, or competitive economies with less successful, or uncompetitive
economies, something that is striking, is the difference in the way that the societies organise
themselves.

The ability to effectively organise people into productive and effective organisations is one of the
core elements that will determine a society's success in facing the competitive global economy, as
well as its own local problems and challenges.

I currently work with Zoë Life, a Purpose Driven Organisation based in Durban, South Africa, to
work towards an Africa where societies are organised in ways that are both effective, and yet still
authentic to the people that make up those societies.
